Letter From Sellers

Dear Prospective Buyers,

Almost six-and-a-half years ago, we wrapped up a search to find the home of our dreams. We thought our demands were simple – a spacious 3-bed, 2-bath unit soaked in natural sunlight with convenient access to our downtown offices. We didn’t expect that search to take a full two years and countless open house tours! We knew we were being picky, but we also didn’t realize that we got so much more than expected. We’re eager to share what made 472 Euclid and the Jordan Park neighborhood such a magical place for our family these past 6+ years.

We are a family that likes to host. A lot. There are so many features that made this home quickly become a favorite spot for friends and family to spend time. Guests were greeted by our grand, welcoming foyer and easily transitioned from room to room due to the thoughtful layout and natural flow of the space. The spacious living room became a staple for bigger get togethers, cultural gatherings, and the Super Bowl! As our babies turned to toddlers, we were able to use part of the living room as a playroom without feeling like we gave up our own relaxation and entertaining space. After an afternoon hosting, we enjoyed many relaxed evenings sitting with friends around our dining table as the fading rays of sun lit up the space with a warm glow. The space between the dining room and kitchen became a cozy gathering spot for a few guests while we did final prep in the kitchen. We loved having the large bedrooms in the back of the house, and we’d often wake up to the peaceful sounds of birds chirping. We even transformed the smallest bedroom (per our kids’ request!) into a bunk-bed room where they built forts and reading nooks.

While we loved our condo itself, the neighborhood is what really set it apart. Jordan Park is a true gem of a neighborhood with a real community feel. The neighborhood is flat, walkable and family-filled, which is why Halloween is a BIG deal in Jordan Park - arguably one of the best neighborhood parties in San Francisco. Block your calendar!

We spent many weekend mornings fueling ourselves with the croissant at Arsicault, coffee at Breck’s (which is adelightful coffee shop and wine bar just down the street), and getting produce at the wonderful Clement Street Farmers’ Market. We love exploring the outdoors and felt incredibly fortunate to have two of San Francisco’s crown jewels — Golden Gate Park and the Presidio — right in our backyard, as well as easy access to Marin and wine country. The access to some of San Francisco’s best restaurants on Clement (which is truly underrated!), California, Sacramento, Divisadero and Fillmore was unmatched.

Daily living was easy and enjoyable, too. Forgot a lemon for your recipe? Cal-Mart, Bryan’s, Trader Joe’s and Target are all a stone's throw away. Geary street was a one-stop shop for so many errands (bank, post office, UPS/FedEx, dry cleaners, the list goes on!). Casual strolls to Laurel Village for groceries with a stop at the local Books Inc. became a beloved ritual, after which we would continue walking to one of the many parks in the neighborhood (Presidio Park Playground was our favorite!). We remain unconvinced that any other neighborhood in SF offers the level of convenience, beauty, easy access to retail and nature, and a real community feel as Jordan Park.

We hope the next owners of 472 Euclid will appreciate the warm, inviting nature of this home and we wish them many years of creating their own beautiful memories here with family, friends, and loved ones.

With love,
The Bhansali Family

Jordan Park Area

Only steps away from the open expanses of the Presidio lies the Laurel Heights/ Jordan Park neighborhood. Impressive hundred-year-old Victorians and Edwardians mix lyrically with bright stucco bungalows, sizable apartment structures, and updated modern residences. Jordan Park/Laurel Heights has become home to many upscale families with young children. Private schools dot the area, including Laurel School and Live Oak. Some of the finest public school education is also available at the Claire Lilienthal Public Elementary School on Sacramento Street. The school boasts a California API over 900.
Lined with elegant shops, Sacramento Street in Laurel Heights, is a shopper’s paradise. One quaint storefront after another serves the desires of the stylish passersby. Find a taste of wine country and exquisite gifts in the Sonoma Country Store. Grab your more regular household needs at the nearby Laurel Village Shopping Center, complete with grocery, hardware, and drug stores.
Don’t miss the popular restaurants, cafes, and specialty bakeries in Laurel Heights. A short walk to Dolce & Salato will reward you with delectable pastries, and quiches. Those fortunate enough may stumble happily upon Magic Flute Garden Ristorante, the roomy trattoria at Presidio and Sacramento Streets. Its serves as a fixture, bringing old-world Tuscan flavors to the neighborhood.
Combining purposes as an athletic center and as a local presenter of cultural arts, the Jewish Community Center welcomes all, and is a community hub for the area. Close by, and convenient, is the California Pacific Medical Center on California Street. Overall, a great neighborhood, with excellent transportation options for easy coming and going.
